Monitoring
The proposed reduction to the speed limit should have a beneficial effect on the environment. The impacts of the pilot schemes have already been monitored by the council and findings published in a Monitoring Report in March 2012.
As part of the citywide rollout we will monitor:
- traffic speeds
- road casualties
- walking and cycling levels
- before and after attitudes and perceptions
- journey times
- bus surveys
When the analysis is complete, a summary of the information will be published.
